i'm gonna send you back to schoolin..."

So, it has been feeling a bit like the late 70s over here..and look at Robert Plant's tight pants!! Woo!! How could he breathe in those things?! I never realized how large Jimmy Page's hands were till I saw him in this flick. Holy cow?! Those things are monstrous?! haaaaaaaaaa....I only caught a bit of the movie, but I have always been a Led Zep fan. Always. And maybe that goes to show you that the long hair guys are really not that bad..just a bit loud with their geetars!!

Classes start tomorrow... That's right, school. Not grad studies, but I'm taking some undergrad prerequisite courses for my MA program at Naropa. So, full schedule of Psych courses....here we go.

Things are a changin'. And I'm feeling a little sad about it. I won't be a full-time SAHM much longer. Reading to little man tonight brought a few tears to my eyes...mostly due to the fact that my entire world is about to change.

We celebrated his 90 years this past weekend! I wish I could remember the birthday song he would sing to me when it was my birthday. It's not the typical birthday song either, so, hmmm....

Exciting news...

Old haircut...

So, for those of you who read my OLD blog, you know that I was in a fantastic show called We Are Normal, Cha Cha Cha. Well, I just found out that we were nominated for the Austin Critics Table. How cool is that!!?!! We were awarded one of the best ensemble performances and an award went out to our choreographer, Amanda Butterfield. For the Austin Chronicle, we were also voted in the top 10 Dance category for 2006. Woo! All I can say is that I worked my a@@ off!!! Glad someone noticed and took appreciation of our hard work.

Happy Mama's Day...

I woke up this morning
and gave thanks.
Thanks for a life that has changed me forever.
Thanks for a husband that has helped in the process of Motherhood.
Thanks for my ancestors and all before me that have treaded this fragile and humble path.

It's a beautiful day.
And at 1pm, I'm doing this.
If you're reading this in time, I hope you'll do it too.
There's a possibility than wee little man has the POX?!
But, we shall see...
I am so happy to be a Mama and wouldn't change a single thing.
Happy Mama's day to all you Mama's out there!!

Transition, transition...

Family.....

Beautiful, hand-painted roof at the Russian Tea House, Boulder, CO.

Nephew and Niece....

Little princesa...

My life seems to be full of transition right now. Within that, the possibility of moving to Colorado. Yes. Beautiful mountains, endless green. And I'm a bit excited about it. Especially in the fact that we may be moving to Boulder. And what a grand thing that would be.

I just returned from an interview weekend at Naropa University...yes, I have applied to yet another program. MA in Somatic Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Dance/Movement Therapy. I have thought about Dance Therapy for quite some time and that was the original reason why I moved to Chicago, but lo and behold, I got carried away with my wee life...my cousin can atest to that. I get a deep satistfied feeling thinking about becoming a psychotherapist, but the fact that I can use movement and dance in helping others beyond the typical "dance teacher" job, well, I'm pretty ecstatic about it.

Let's see...it was a good interview. Long. Really long. Part of a group interview with 8 other prospects and then a personal interview. I think I did well. Really well. But you know how when you're under a bit of pressure and you're sweatin' and a bit nervous, well, that was me. I was pretty emotional about it all. Just stepping foot on the campus was moving to me. There's something about that place and I just pray that Divine guidance and love wants me there. Those photos up there are with my in-laws..in celebration of my final day of interviewing and my new beginnings with them. I went by my loneseome to CO and they took care of me...yes, they did.

In other news....
See that photo up there, of my wee niece? Well, I crocheted that dress. Yes. A vintage pattern from 1974...came from my Grandma's magazine and I think it looks fabulous on her. Don't you?
